Lainey is such a crazy eater.
Crazy in a weird way.
She refuses baby food of all kinds as of 2 or 3 weeks ago.
Now before I give you a sample menu of what she's eating,
let me remind you that she's 9 mos old...
let me also preface this by saying I stay away from everything
the dr says is "dangerous" for this age;)
This morning's breakfast: cantaloupe, toast, yogurt
(not so weird, but kinda I think)
Lunch: cheerios, scrambled egg yolk (mmm)
Dinner: spaghetti
*all washed down by water from her sippy cup, that she LOVES.
Yesterday's meals included biscuits and gravy,
chicken nuggets and fries from Chik-fil-a, black bean soup.
She eats quesadillas, turkey and cheese "sandwiches",
mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, guacamole...
the girl eats anything we let her, but NO baby food.
Is this weird for her age or was Natalie the weird one???
Anyway, I LOVE watching her eat.
I don't know what it is but I think it's the coolest,
this whole instinct for survival that even newborns have.
We all know this isn't "taught."
You can see her thinking, "I must get food! NOW!!!"
Her little fingers grasp hold of those noodles
and she doesn't stop until they are in her mouth.
She is so determined.
Anyway...
maybe I'm the weird one.
I'll leave you with more pictures of what is still Lainey's favorite face.
(By the way, if she makes this face while eating, TAKE COVER, she's gonna blow!!!)
(that's right, she was eating cake, & with lots of icing ok? ;))
