Tornado in Training

This weekend, Lainey buzzed the tower early one morning yelling "TEE TEE! TEE TEE!"

What??? Wait a minute!

Just to recap, we just had another baby and I've been laid up in bed for two weeks because of a punctured spinal cord (that's right, every woman's worst epidural nightmare...how else could I be blogging so much?:)) The LAST thing on my mind is potty training. But our little cutie has decided this is the time apparently.

I followed her to the bathroom where she proceeded to pull her diaper off and asked me to sit her on the toilet...and then quickly pushed me away. She grunted and strained with that famous Lainey grin and sure enough! The girl went tee-tee! She asked for toilet paper and then wiped her hiney...close enough;) She eventually got off the toilet and then admired her deposit...until Natalie swooped in and flushed the potty.

OH NO YOU DIDN'T!!

Lainey wailed and called out her tee tee's name as she watched it swirl round and round and into oblivion. The girl is passionate and loud and NEVER stops, that's all I can say about that.

A very close family friend, Sharlene, moved in with us for two weeks and saved our lives as she provided total care for the kids, house, etc. She now affectionately refers to Lainey as "The Texas Tornado". Can't argue with that. If nursing won't take the baby weight off, chasing and cleaning up after her surely will! The little ham keeps us laughing hard too. That's bound to burn some calories also, right?:)

To make up for all the pictures with her new brother she hasn't slowed down for, here are some from this past week that I've been fast enough to snap.

The famous Lainey grin that lights up the room!

Sharlene loving on the kids, Lainey teaching Rhett how to master the smile!

Fun with finger paints...FINGER paints Lainey!

Big Sis left her yogurt alone for just one second...big mistake, HUGE!

This girl's personality is infectious!!!

As Sharly says, this is The Tornado resting up for her next go-round!

Lainey, you are growing up way too fast and are a joy to say the very least!
"My cup runneth over..."

...and my sink, and the bathtub...and another day begins;)
